The Secret
Secret throb tracing the corners of my heart Confusing my mind and tearing me apart Leaking emotion pouring in my blood Fill in my dreamy puddle like stacks of mud Stop teasing me and lingering from my lips Stop cooing me with the wonder of that kiss Does realization hurt like a knife? Does it hurt like this? When did you seep past the broad line? That separated yours from mine Thoughts blurring my mind Visions becoming a hazy glaze How bad do I want you? In so many ways Pressing your warm skin to touch I want you so much But I forbid myself to go past the line of no return If I do cross A waiting lesson, I'll learn So I'll just sit back and gaze at you from a far Like a single mortal lusting for a distant star And I'll hope that these feelings pass over my throbbing heart And we can return to what we had from the start
