Fragments of Us

We had plans, unspoken, yet clear, Moments to cherish, year by year. Laughter to share, paths to explore, But time, unkind, closed the door. Your smile held dreams we’d yet to chase, A fleeting glimpse, a fragile space. Our hands once clasped, now drift apart, A quiet ache fills my heart. The world we built, though incomplete, Was ours alone, a bittersweet feat. Now memories linger, soft and true, Of all we’d dreamed but couldn’t do.

Hugging Shadows

I try to hug this body of mine, But it feels like holding a stranger. The weight of years, of silent tears, Turns love into anger. I’ve tried to change, to shrink, to mold, To be something I’m not. But every time, I’m left behind, Alone with what I’ve got. My arms fall down, my heart grows cold, I don’t know how to care. For a body I don’t recognize, For a self I cannot bear. Still, a voice inside whispers soft, "Please don’t let me go." Maybe one day, I’ll learn to stay, And love the me I know.

"So, That Was Dramatic..."

One day, it crushes, a storm in the chest, Breath halts, heart races, no room for rest. You beg the skies for an end to the ache, A whisper to shatter, a soul to forsake. But time, that trickster, it softens the scream, Turns sharp-edged sorrow into a dream. One morning, you wake, and the world feels light, What once was darkness now fades to white. You laugh at the pain that once held you tight, A fleeting shadow, a vanishing night. Grief is a ghost, a lesson, a phase, A chapter that ends, though it lingers for days.

Candle's Flame

You came like fire, too bright, too strong, I let it blind me; I played along. Your words were gold, your touch was sweet, A fleeting high, then quick defeat. It began with magic, a dream come true, Every word, every look, was something new. But magic fades, and so did you, Leaving me wondering what was true.

The Art of Letting Be

Let them speak, let them do, Let them tread their chosen path. You are not the keeper of their truths, Nor the weight of their aftermath. Some will judge, some will sting, Some will twist the light to shade. But you hold the power to decide What burdens in your heart are laid. Not every battle needs a fight, Not every word deserves a stand. There’s peace in stepping to the side, And strength in staying where you land. For the world will turn, as it always does, With its noise, its chaos, its ceaseless spin. Your mind’s a temple, guard it well, Let stillness be your victory within. Choose to breathe, choose to pause, Choose to let the moment flow. In their storms, you’ll find your calm, In their fire, your quiet glow. Let them be, as you remain, Rooted, steady, free. For the greatest gift you give yourself Is the art of letting be.

Oasis

To be loved without pleading, a gentle embrace, A haven of warmth, a sacred place. No need to shape words, no need to explain, Your heart beats freely, untouched by pain. Eyes that see through, past shadows and fear, A love that whispers, "I’m always here." No battle to fight, no mountain to climb, Just a rhythm of trust, a melody of time. It feels like sunlight after the rain, Soft and steady, easing the strain. A quiet assurance, a peaceful tide, Love without begging, with nothing to hide.

Fleeting Circles

We spun in circles, a dance of delight, Born in shadows, never seeking the light. Your touch, a fire, too wild to tame, Yet morning walks whispered none of the blame. A love unspoken, bound by the skin, Fragile as glass, too thin to begin. The sunrise knew what we dared not say, This was a story meant to decay. The silence lingered, heavy yet sweet, Our footsteps echoed on empty streets. It wasn’t forever, just moments to borrow, No promises made, no hope for tomorrow. Now the mornings pass, and so do the flames, I remember the walks, but forget the names. We were doomed from the start, a beautiful ache, A fleeting mirage we knew would break.
