I dare not

Do you dream where silence dwells, Where unspoken stories weave their spells? I hold my breath in the quiet ache, Afraid to give, yet bound to take. If I was yours, why fade away? If not, why does your shadow stay? A fragile truth, too sharp to keep— I long for you, yet dare not leap.

A different kind of love

Not the fire that consumes, but the steady glow of embers, a warmth that doesn’t demand but offers, quietly, a place to rest your hands. Not the thrill of a chase, but the calm of arrival, where words aren’t necessary and silence feels full of everything you need to say. It doesn’t call for grand gestures, no roses scattered in its path, but blooms in the smallest spaces: the shared glass of wine, the touch of a sleeve, the knowing glance across a crowded room. It’s the kind of love that grows roots instead of wings, that anchors instead of carries, that holds you steady when the world tips sideways. Not less than the songs of passion, but softer, an echo that lingers long after the crescendo fades. This love is the quiet revolution, the ordinary miracle, the kind that rebuilds what you didn’t know was broken.

The weight of "hi..."

I see your name, a fleeting thought, A memory of the friendship we sought. The urge to type, to simply say, "Hi," and ask how your day is going . The silence grows, a heavy weight, A bridge unbuilt, a twist of fate. Would my words heal, or bring us pain, A spark reignited, or loss again? I miss the way your laughter danced, The warmth we shared, the fleeting chance. To hear your voice, to see your face, To feel, once more, that sacred space. But time has carved its quiet wall, A chasm deep, a painful fall. Would a simple "Hi" be wrong or right? A soft hello or a stormy night? So here I sit, the words unsaid, A battle raging in my head. For friendship once lost is hard to find, But harder still to leave behind.

Silent Chains

I stayed because silence scared me, Loneliness too loud to bear, I clung to hope, though faint and fleeting, That love might still be waiting there. I stayed and lost myself in shadows, A ghost of who I used to be, Till I found truth in quiet spaces— Letting go could set me free.

Where Joy Awakens

In shadows deep, where sorrow lay, A spark emerges, lights the way. Through tangled roots of grief and pain, Hope whispers soft, like summer rain. The sun breaks free, the clouds unwind, A bloom of laughter, hearts aligned. The weight once carried, fades to air, Joy dances lightly, unaware. Each step, a song, each breath, a start, To mend the cracks within the heart. For even after storms descend, The soul finds ways to bloom, to mend.

Unsolicited Why

You came with words, soft and sincere, An apology wrapped in quiet fear. But in the silence, truths were missed, The reasons hidden, the trust dismissed. You spoke of regrets, but left them bare, Without the why, without the care. I don’t need closure, don’t need the why, The trust was broken, and I don’t ask why. The pieces scattered, but I’ll leave them behind, I’ve learned the lessons, I’ve cleared my mind. No need for more words, no need to explain, The trust you shattered can’t be regained.
